Hobart m cable piano serial number4/14/2023 ![]() ![]() The only problem we have is obtaining them as the supply chain for pianos is strained like everything else. They're not particularly cheap but have good qualities for the money. ![]() Here in South Florida the Essex pianos designed by Steinway, made in China are selling briskly. I also tried contacting Nanjing and Welkin Sound but so far, there's been no reply. I believe this stencil line is no longer in production.ĭoes anyone have a serial number list for these pianos? I checked Pierce but they only list the instruments made in the USA. in Nanjing, China and distributed by Welkin Sound Inc., Ontario, California. Web searching turned up that it was last manufactured by Nanjing Moutrie Piano Co. I could tell that it was not a real Falcone (made in Haverhill, MA), but an Asian stencil piano. One of my clients has a Falcone grand piano, model # CJS-172 (~5' 7-1/2"), serial EW8110. I liked them better than the Yung Change pianos coming from over there. I thought they were decent instruments, a few problems with flange pin friction, but had a good tone. The company also made Steck pianos which were pretty much the same thing, and I believe also under the name of Hamilton (Baldwin). I have no idea if they are still being made. I tried looking up the serial number on my Piano Atlas app, but no luck. I used to work for a dealer that sold these. Subject: RE: Chinese Falcone Serial Numbers
